Hello - from Union Missouri 10 Months ago
I live just in a relatively small city off of Hwy 44 rather close to STL. I do not have any active plans at this time for local activity and very little resources to submit at this time. I do plan to drive to New York for Z-day this coming year and am available to some degree for activity if it is within the greater STL area, but probably little out of that range for the time being. I am active on TZM voice chat channel and can be contacted there or via email ( chibispheres@hotmail.com ) with relative ease on weeknights or weekends.

I also urge other Missouri members to join us on Ventrilo (info and instructions here - www.thezeitgeistmovement.com/joomla/inde...29&Itemid=100092 ) for either relevant discussion, mock debate, sharing relevant learning material, chapter meetings and updates, or even just socializing with like minded individuals.

P.S. Good work getting the website up!

Yes, Ventrilo is quite useful. We will begin holding meetings in Ventrilo very soon.

How long is that drive to NY from where you are, Chibi?

I have friends that live out by you, one in Union and one close the Belle.

I plan to head out that way sometime soon to get firewood.

Do you know any other St Louisan's who are interested in the movement?

So far I don't know anyone more than mildly intrigued by the movement. That is to say, when I speak to others about... just about anything besides football or work... not all responses are negative, but more are passive and apathetic. "That sounds great, but I'm not interested" - type of attitude.

Its unlikely for the following reasons. First my vehicle is broken down (needs a new head and have no money to fix it). Second, I dont know when or where there is an event and have not heard any recent specifics on there even being an event in my area. Third, I am not feeling especially social lately and meeting with people to discuss things we should already agree on would be of little consequence either way for me.

I wanted to attend the primary event in New York but its financially impossible at this time and the amount of seats they end up having is far to few for it to draw much media attention so Z-Day now seems like little more than a social event for a chance to meet like minded people (at least for now). That is still a very positive and ideal event for most people and I am glad to hear that there are such events being held, but I am not very fond of socializing and communicating with others even when it is like minded people. I just do not feel up to that at this time, perhaps by next year I will have adjusted my personality to some degree allowing me to interact with others in a more positive way.
